iOS developer in Manchester
Hello world! my name is Edgar. I'm a mobile app developer based in Manchester England. I have been writing iOS apps since 2010. I love software development from creative design to technical analysis and programming. For me it's like playing lego bricks as a child; solving problems and trying to build elegant architectures.
My primary skill is solid knowledge of end-to-end mobile app development using Cocoa Touch framework and coding with Swift / Objective-C. My technical experience in developing enterprise-wide financial applications extends to Micorosoft C# .Net and the unsupported UDS-Forté 4GL.
I have recently designed and developed the Tournament Scheduler app for the iPhone, an app scheduling American, round robin, single and double elimination game tournaments. I used RxSwift on and MVVM architecture; Swift, XCode, Cocoapods, Realm, GitHub and GIMP during development.
In my spare time I can be found hiking the Yorkshire Dales and the Peak District or smashing a shuttlecock at a badminton club in Manchester. I also like to play classical music on the piano.
These are some of the apps I've written and conceptualised. I've also contributed as part of development teams for the following apps including Barclaycard, O2 Wallet, AsiaRooms and LateRooms.
Tournament scheduling american, round robin, single and double eliminations with handicaps!
Mobile score card for local badminton leagues for iOS and watchOS.
A jarring sliding cookie game.
Wind spot locator displaying current speeds, directions and forecasts.
Tournament fixture generator for round robin and single elimintation.
It's a Ning thing!
